Me: "Are you going to travel around in the summer? Gotta be good."
Kei: "hmm... no, my family is not rich."(after thinking for a moment) "Because of me, they are now on debt."
Me: "Then why are you studying here? instead of in Korea."
Kei: "Because it's my dream. I want to do..."(He was trying to find some words)
Me:"You mean working here? is your dream?"
Kei: "Yes."
At that moment, I felt something touched me. I was about to say to him: "Your dream will come true." But don't know why, it was unable to come out my mouth at that time. Instead, I smiled and said: "I see."
I figured later, that "something" is a strong feeling of respect.

12月12日 What is Option? some insights gained when studing price sensitivitySince an option, say, a call option has a much larger convexity than the underlying asset of the option, say a bond, has. To hedge the interest rate risk of writing this call option (to avoid potential loss resulted from rise/decline of interest rates) by longing the bond, the hedger would have to reequate the duration/DV01 of two assets (option and bond), by selling or buying the bond (which intends to decrease or increase the duration of the bond portfolio) whenever interest rate (or yield more precisely) changes. If keep doing this continuously, under the circumstance of no transaction cost, the hedger is left no-risk-exposure assets, the value difference between shorting option and longing bond (therefore now this remaining risk-free asset is like cash, of couse we don't consider inflation here which is one risk for holding cash).
This tells a very fundamental insight into the nature of options. An option can be replicated by continuouly buying or selling the underlying assets and simultaneously holding certain amout of cash. This leads to the birth of several option pricing models. (Black-Scholes? I guess, but haven't looked into its origin yet)

Assassin's Creed(刺客信条)的故事主要发生在公元1191年，即第三次十字军东征期间，故事的地点被设定在阿卡古城、大马士革和耶路撒冷三大城市里。在游戏一开始，狮心王理察刚刚从伊斯兰人手中夺回了港口城市"阿卡"，并按计划向南部进军------他们要以教庭之名收回耶路撒冷；但问题是，萨拉丁的军队正控制着这个地区，而他绝不会再重滔在阿卡古城的覆彻------他在艾尔苏夫的城堡废墟中布下重兵，试图向十字军发动突袭。但是，由於理察和萨拉丁都专注在战事中，以致战场以外的地方无人监管，那里的地方官员们也开始滥用权力、中饱私囊，甚至在战争中挑拨离间，通过挑起更多的冲突来确保自己的利益。
